From My Open Window

This book contains 123 English poems and poetic reflections by Astaratha Dasa, a German-born Vaishnava monk and mystic. They are an outcome of a loving dialogue between the writer and his surroundings – the house in which he lives, the people of his neighbourhood, his visitors, the rural environment, the conflicts and challenges he is confronted with, but also the deep experiences of his own spiritual practice and search.

Perhaps the reflections gathered in this book can inspire the readers to take courage in their own struggle of life and find a way to overcome the barriers that seem to obstruct their path.

Thus, «From My Open Window» may also open the respective reader’s window to his own inner self and to realizing his divine origin and destination.
